About Me

Hi, I’m Kenny.

I love working with people to create stronger, more authentic connections - both with themselves and with their loved ones.

Many of my clients come to me for support with strengthening their relationships. They feel like past painful experiences are holding them back from fully showing up in the ways they want to with others.

Others reach out when they are going through a big change in life and would like a bit of extra support and perspective. This might be a shift in faith or values, a career change, or struggles adapting to a new stage in life.

I’ve found that leaning into the uncomfortable parts of life, the parts that we would rather avoid or skip past, is where true transformation happens. It’s through these moments that we unlock greater strength, capacity, and connection with ourselves and others.

Professional Qualifications:

I have a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Arizona. I have been working in the behavioral health field since 2013 as a therapist, university adjunct instructor, and supervisor of other therapists and therapist interns.

I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist-Individual through Trauma Institute International and have completed numerous trainings in trauma-informed care and science-based approaches for working through stress, including Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (a body-informed approach to talk therapy), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I also have completed trainings in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Spiritually-Integrated Psychotherapy (training on ethically working with the spiritual values my clients bring with them - not imposing my own belief system on the therapy process, a value that is core to my approach to therapy). I am passionate about ongoing training and am regularly learning new approaches to bring to the therapy room.

But what matters most to me is collaborating with my clients to make therapy work for you. I’m an LGBTQ+ affirming therapist and respect the diverse backgrounds, values, and belief systems that my clients bring to therapy. I have previously served as a board member for the Mormon Mental Health Association (a secular organization), and am passionate about providing culturally competent support to those across the Mormon/Latter Day Saint spectrum from traditionally believing members to post-Mormons.

When I’m not in session, I love spending time with my spouse, kids, and other family and friends playing games, painting, watching movies, and cooking.

I feel incredibly grateful to be able to do this work—helping people create the lives and relationships they deserve.
